Johnny Grant
Remembered
Hollywood’s
beloved honorary mayor, Johnny Grant, was
remembered last week and his life celebrated at
a special service at the Pantages Theatre
attended by about 1,000 people. In addition to
numerous celebrities, there were notable public
officials in attendance as well as hundreds of
friends. About 20 members of Johnny’s extended
family traveled from across the country to be
present at the service. The Chamber expresses
appreciation to everyone who helped to put the
program together. While there are too many to
single out, we do appreciate the Pantages and
Nederlander Company for their generosity and
cooperation, to Dede Dadigan and the Hollywood
History Museum for presenting a wonderful
exhibit on Johnny’s life, and to Michael Teilman
for organizing the program. Click to view a
slideshow of Johnny Grant moments.
