Matt Damon Honored
with Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Freeman
Matt Damon was honored with the 2,343rd star on
the Hollywood Walk of Fame on July 25, in front
of the Kodak Theatre. The Academy Award-winning
actor was surrounded by family and friends and
about 1,000 screaming fans who braved the
scorching heat for a view of the megastar.
Damon’s speakers included head of Universal
Studios, Ron Meyer and the Director of The
Bourne Ultimatum, Paul Greengrass. Hollywood’s
Honorary Mayor Johnny Grant declared it "Matt
Damon Day in Hollywood." A massive contingent of
media from all over the world was on-hand for
the big event. “I can’t believe the placement of
my star! I thought it would have been east of
here near Vine Street. When I first started my
career I lived about five blocks away in a
crappy apartment and always dreamed of being
here on the Walk of Fame,” stated Damon.

the Chamber’s Legislative Action Committee and
regularly walked to meetings from his home in
the hills. Mr. Hill had been retired from the
Department of Water and Power and devoted much
free time working toward the betterment of
Hollywood.
