Why I'm a Member...

Vartan Adzemian Vadeal Print

This was a great decision. Our membership to the Hollywood Chamber offered us great exposure. We met a lot of quality people in business. We worked with the Hollywood Historic Hotel and Cardio Barre. This Chamber is a great organization to be a part of and we want to get more involved and hopefully do more business and higher volume.

Business Improvement Districts

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is a strong proponent of business improvement districts (BID). The Chamber was the creator of the Hollywood Entertainment District, which became Hollywood’s first BID, and was very supportive of the formation of the other Hollywood BIDs. A business improvement district is a voluntary assessment district where the businesses or property owners vote to assess themselves a fee in order to achieve a common goal. Such goals typically include such things as: cleaning sidewalks, beautification, security patrols, and marketing the area. The assessment funds are collected by the City of Los Angeles and returned to the BID, which has a board of directors that administers the funds. Here are Hollywood’s four BIDs, and links where you can go for further information:
