HOLLYWOOD, CA- FEBRUARY 20, 2013 – On Thursday, February 21st for one day only from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Hollywood Chamber will host its 10th Annual Awards Media Center for local, national and international members of the media who will be covering the Academy Awards®. Adding a touch of glamour to the annual Media Center, presenting sponsor L’Oréal Paris will have a professional make-up artist on hand offering touch ups and instruction on creating a glamorous red-carpet look.”
An array of food, beverages, and information on Hollywood and the entertainment industry will be available for media showing their AMPAS credentials. The Hollywood Chamber’s Awards Media Center will also feature exhibits from:
- TCL Chinese Theatre, which is home to hundreds of movie premieres throughout the history of Hollywood and has undergone an impressive transformation and name change.
- Pink’s Hot Dogs, a famous Hollywood legend since 1939 known as ‘Hot Dogs to the Stars’ will be serving their popular fare to the media.
- The Hollywood Museum at the Historic Max Factor Building, which showcases the most extensive collection of Hollywood movie memorabilia.
- The Los Angeles Convention & Visitors Bureau, which will have their team on hand to guide the media on where to eat, where to stay and information on all the must-see events happening in Hollywood and the Los Angeles area.
- Gaelyn Whitley Keith, author of “The Father of Hollywood” will be sharing insight on the early years of Hollywood and the stories behind one of the most significant pioneers.
- Village Pizzeria, which will be treating the attending media to the best pizza in Hollywood! All they are saying is ‘give piece a chance’.
- exhale mind body spa will be offering neck massages to the press whose muscles might be sore from resting cameras on their shoulders and also offering hand massages for press whose hands might be sore from holding up mics!

His long list of clients includes such celebrities as Diane Kruger, Megan Fox, Tina Fey, Felicity Huffman, Michelle Pfeiffer and Jodie Foster. 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Rita Tateel, celebrity wrangler who has been working with celebrities for more than 25 years. Tateel is the Founder and President of The Celebrity Source, and has been interviewed and quoted as an expert on celebrities in numerous publications and media sources including CNN, “EXTRA,” “Entertainment Tonight,” People Magazine, USA Today and many others. His work reflects the history of key Southern California industries such as agriculture, oil, entertainment and, of course, retail. He works everyday to preserve the legacy of the Original Farmers Market.

1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Actor Clifton Collins Jr. will speak about his latest projects and his Hollywood family history. His late grandfather is Walk of Famer Pedro Gonzalez Gonzalez. Collins recently wrapped production on “Pacific Rim” directed by Guillermo Del Toro and will be seen in the feature film Knight of Cups opposite Christian Bale. He is currently starring on the new television show Red Widow premiering on Sunday, March 3, on ABC. He is also known for his roles on Star Trek, Sunshine Cleaning, Babel, Traffic and is arguably best known for his role as murderer ‘Perry Smith’ in the Oscar®-nominated Capote.
