HOLLYWOOD CHAMBER PAC ENDORSES MITCH O’FARRELL
in LOS ANGELES CITY COUNCIL DISTRICT 13 RACE

HOLLYWOOD, CA – February 4, 2013 – The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee (PAC) announced its support today of City Council District 13 (CD-13) candidate Mitch O’Farrell.

"I am honored to have the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce PAC endorsement!” said O’Farrell. “The Chamber knows my track record, having worked directly with them over the last several years as Senior Advisor to Councilmember Eric Garcetti. I will work with the Chamber, continuing to make this community safer, cleaner, better for businesses, and more vibrant.”

Sam Smith, Chair of the Hollywood Chamber PAC stated, “Mitch has a proven record in the Hollywood business community.  We have seen first-hand his passion and commitment for CD-13 and are proud to provide him with our full support in his efforts to represent Hollywood on the City Council.”  Smith continued, “Mitch’s work in Hollywood is extensive - having helped pave the way for the Environmental Review process in order to secure funding for the proposed Hollywood Central Park; securing $2.3 million to improve the pedestrian experience on Hollywood Boulevard and Western Avenue; and helping to lead the way on the multi-million dollar Historic Walk of Fame Renovation.”  The PAC’s endorsement of O’Farrell comes on the heels of last week’s Council District 13 Debate held by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber PAC.  The debate featured the top six CD-13 candidates, including O’Farrell. 

“I cannot wait to get back to work in this District as your Councilmember, fighting for reforms at the city, county, and state level that will stop run-away production and to make sure the City of Los Angeles plays a central role in keeping the entertainment industry right here where it belongs, in Hollywood,” commented O’Farrell. “I know what it will take to make Hollywood the world class community it deserves to be and as Councilmember, people can count on my Administration to lead the way in making this happen. The Chamber and the business community in the 13th District support me not only because I have helped cut the red tape at City Hall, but because they know I am the candidate who will actually reform the way this City deals with our small business community. I will reignite our local economy as well as create and sustain local jobs."

The Hollywood Chamber PAC recognizes the importance of this election in determining the future for our Hollywood business community and for businesses throughout Los Angeles.
