HOLLYWOOD, CA , November 26, 2012– Various celebrities will show their appreciation to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s Police and Fire Fighters BBQ at Hollywood’s Police and Fire Department on Wednesday, November 28, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Hollywood Division police station located at 1358 N. Our police officers do an excellent job working in harmony with the Hollywood firefighters to effectively keep our streets safe. A small way that we, as a community, can give back to these local heroes is to offer a fun day of great BBQ food and heartfelt thanks at the Chamber’s 19th annual Police and Firefighters Appreciation Day on Wednesday, November 28, from 12 noon to 8:00 p.m. at the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Hollywood Division station, 1358 North Wilcox.
Partnering with the Hollywood Chamber again this year is the entire team at Avalon Hollywood, who will graciously send their production team, head chef and culinary team, and their delicious main course of tri tip steaks. Celebrity Chef C.J. Jacobson, from Top Chef will be serving up specialties from restaurants, Delancey, Mercantile, and Township. Other restaurant participants include: Buca di Beppo, Chik-Fil-A, Francesca Verdugo, Howl at the Moon City Walk, Loteria Grill, and Village Pizzeria. Other generous benefactors include Madame Tussauds Hollywood, Line 204 and the Church of Scientology.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has been providing an outdoor barbeque for Hollywood’s finest every year for more than a decade. “The event offers the business community an opportunity to personally recognize and honor the area’s true gatekeepers by keeping their heroes’ hunger ‘contained’ and their thirsts ‘extinguished.’" said Leron Gubler, President and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber.
