Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is Your Business
Advocate
Since 1921, the
Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has been fighting hard
to make Hollywood a community in which your business
can prosper. With a famous name, many would assume
that would be an easy task, but as we all know,
Hollywood has had its share of challenges over the
years.
Today, there is an
energy in Hollywood that we have not seen in
decades. There is a new enthusiasm. We hear of new
proposed developments almost on a weekly basis.
There are more than 4,500 housing units in the
pipeline and more than $1-billion in new investment
just on Vine Street alone.
The Chamber is
pleased to have played an important role in bringing
this renaissance about. Dedicated volunteers such as
Johnny Grant and Bill Welsh were the cheerleaders
who kept the light burning even when most doubted
that Hollywood could be saved. Numerous other
volunteers served on committees and gave of their
time as well. We cajoled. We lobbied. We testified.
We organized. We found a way to turn things around,
and today we are an example that others want to
emulate.
We are your business
advocate. Through several volunteer committees and a
dedicated staff, we are constantly looking at ways
to further the community’s agenda. We invite you to
participate. If you aren’t a member, you should
be. If you are a member, you can best serve your
business and community by getting involved.
The history of
Hollywood is still being written. Why not help us
write it?
We believe the best of times are still
ahead of us.
With your help, we’ll get there!
